RACM website

In in 2006 I made an inventory of 25 archaeological open-air museums, spread across Europe. I did this for RACM (National Service for Archaeology, Culture Landscape and Monuments. These serve as example and inspiration for those in the Netherlands who want to make archaeological information accessible at local level. The reports are added to the Project Database Cultural History.

In 2007 I expanded this with an international series about site museums, which present genuine archaeology on location. In international museum context, the ‘site museums’ and the ‘reconstruction museums’ are often under the same heading.
