liveARCH

After many preparations and under the coordination of the Eindhoven Museum, a group of 4 people: Roeland Paardekooper, Geir Sør-Reime (Norwegian advisor for Cultural EU projects), Björn Jakobsen (director of the Swedish Fotevikens Museum) & Bert van Valburg (director of the Eindhoven Museum) wrote an EU Culture 2000 Application with which 8 archaeological open-air museums worked closely together and exchanged experiences to get more professional.

November 2006 was the start of this three year project with a budget of 1.4 million Euro, coordinated by Bert van Valburg and me. We functioned as project bureau. The partners of liveARCH came from 8 different countries, not just with different cultural backgrounds, but different in organisation as well. The project bureau had to steer the communication and guarantee that the partners produced the promised results.
